 FAQs

  • Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) exists to meet the unique and evolving needs of today’s injured veterans. WWP is a leading veteran service organization committed to fostering the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.

  • All the funds raised on our website will help fund life-changing programs for injured veterans and their families — all at no cost to them. More than $240 million went directly to these programs during the FY22 fiscal year.

  • Wounded Warrior Project serves warriors and family members in every state across the country. Your donation will support warriors in all communities, including yours. If you would like to see the impact WWP makes in your state, you can find our current WWP Impact Sheets here: woundedwarriorproject.org/impact.

  • Wounded Warrior Project is a direct service organization. 100% of your donation supports wounded warriors. About 70% -- more than $263 million in fiscal year 2024 – was spent directly on programs and services for wounded warriors, families, and caregivers. The balance paid to support the delivery of this life-changing support.

More than 270,000 warriors, family members, and caregivers were registered with Wounded Warrior Project as of September 30, 2024. The need is great and growing. Every month in 2024, nearly 2,200 new warriors and family members registered with Wounded Warrior Project to receive our no-cost programs and services.

  • The WWP mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors who incurred a physical or mental injury, illnesses, or wound, co-incident to your military service on or after September 11, 2001. You may also be eligible for the program if you are the family member or caregiver of a Wounded Warrior.
