THE STORIES WE CARRY

MEET SARA

What if the woman you see today is only one chapter of her story?

THE STORIES WE CARRY | Meet Sara

I created this series because we meet women every day without knowing the journeys behind who they are — what they’ve overcome, accomplished, sacrificed, built, or are still becoming.

The jewelry we wear may be visible, but the stories we carry often aren’t. The Stories We Carry celebrates the woman, her journey, and everything that has shaped who she is today.

This is Sara’s story, in her own words.

✨ MY STORY

Softness Is Not Weakness

I’ve always been someone who feels things deeply. I love hard, wear my heart on my sleeve, and sometimes care a little too much.

For years, I thought strength meant being tougher and less sensitive. At 44, I’m learning otherwise.

I’m a wife, a mom of three, and someone who is learning that strength often comes from the things that make us vulnerable.

One of those lessons came from my beautiful horse, Misti. Loving her was easy. Letting her go was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

Recently, I made the heartbreaking decision to find her a new home. I knew it was right, but that didn’t make it hurt less.

She taught me that sometimes love means putting what’s best for someone else ahead of what your own heart wants.

I’m learning that a soft heart isn’t a weakness. Sometimes, it’s our greatest strength.
